Canada Launches New Cyber Security Certification Program to Strengthen National Security
OTTAWA, ONTARIO — The Canadian government has announced the launch of a new cyber security certification program aimed at bolstering the country’s national security and protecting critical infrastructure from increasing cyber threats. Prime Minister Mark Carney introduced the initiative on Thursday during a press conference held at the National Cyber Security Centre in Ottawa.

The program is expected to create approximately 5,000 jobs over the next five years as businesses ramp up their cyber security capabilities to meet certification standards.
